The CRST recruiter called me yesterday morning about my travel plans to orientation and my new job in Oklahoma City. She started the conversation with information about a bus ticket. (I'd already told her I wasn't riding a bus that far.)I said, "Wait a minute. I thought there'd be a rental car." She said, "There aren't any other recruits from your area to share it with." I said, "I'll fly then." She mentioned some other things about the orientation itself, and asked me to call or email when I'd made my flight arrangements.
So I went to Delta's website and booked a flight that leaves B'ham at 6:20AM in the morning (Saturday) and arrives in OKC at 11:00AM, also in the morning. (1.75 hour layover in Memphis.) $375.00, but what the heck. It's only money, right? And the recruiter said she'd give me $150.00 of it back when I got to orientation.
This has dramatically reduced the amount of stuff I'd planned to take with me

Disabro will be taking me to the B'ham airport around 3:45AM in the morning.
