This post is about Ed Thomas, who I never met. But this is such a coincidence that I had to write about it.
To bring you up to date on who Ed Thomas was, (from Wikipedia) "Ed Thomas (July 17, 1950 – June 24, 2009) was the high school football coach for Aplington-Parkersburg High School in Parkersburg, Iowa. On June 24, 2009, Thomas was shot in the football team's weight room. Ed Thomas's killer is Mark Becker, a 2004 Aplington-Parkersburg graduate and one of Thomas' former players....."

This video's pretty good too. In fact, it's how I learned about what happened in Parkersburg. Mother was watching her usual Sunday morning preachers, when one of them showed this video to demonstrate "Forgiveness". I stopped to listen because I'd been to Parkersburg .... (Watch for the bus barn, about 2:58 into the video.)
I was in Parkersburg on June 15, 2009, just nine days before Coach Thomas was murdered - about 25 yards (maybe less) from where the shooting took place. I blogged about being there - Rebuilding Parkersburg IA
In other news: It's been a while since I blogged. Lack of interest and/or time, I suppose. Utter frustration and disappointment in my job a CRST.... The people at CRST are from another planet, and my experience with the whole company was total nightmare. I finally quit and came home on 8/27/10. There's so much I could say about it that I don't know where to begin, so I won't.
Instead I'm going to focus on my new job with Beacon Transport. I'm catching the bus to Nashville in about 3 hours from now.
